Committed to whole-person mental health care
Our approach at ASC Psychological Services is rooted in the belief and philosophy of treating you as a whole person when addressing your mental health care needs. We know that you come to us with a unique perspective and set of experiences. That’s why we see, treat and support you as the individual that you are − not just a diagnosis or symptom.
This whole person-centered approach also means we match you with a psychologist, therapist or counselor based on your needs and their expertise − not just their availability. They will help you identify and clarify your problems, figure out the cause of them, and understand how to overcome them.
We don’t deliver a one-size fits all approach. Our commitment and promise to you is that you will receive individualized and integrated mental health services. This means that our therapists collaborate with each other to give you the best care possible. For example, if your provider doesn’t offer a specific evaluation or treatment that you require, they can weave it into your care plan by bringing in another therapist in our office who is skilled in that service.
Community impact
Since our founding in 1972, we have helped hundreds of people and numerous families in the Mankato, Minn. region and beyond through individual therapy, and marriage and family counseling. To meet the needs of our community, we also have built a team of therapists with a deep understanding of and ability to treat trauma. They serve patients dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder due to trauma as a child or adult, as well as grief, anxiety and depression. Specializing in therapeutic services for Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Fighters, and First Responders.
In addition, we have a uniquely robust program that addresses both the addiction and psychological issues that people addicted to alcohol, drugs, gambling and sex experience.
